I've used Owen for an Arrow inspection, he did a good job. You pay a flat fee plus his travel expenses. He takes a lot of pictures, sends you the pictures, writes up a squawk sheet, and goes over all this with you.

The EVTOL pushers say you don't need to go as far as fast as you used to in ICE vehicles. I told a guy once my IO360 and 72 gallons of fuel allow me to fly for 6 hours at 135kts. He told me "yeah but you don't need to". Huh? All to convince me 45 minutes on a battery at slower speeds was the future.

It's as if magical batteries don't exist.

That's cheap for an experimental. I was quoted 10k for my Velocity, which only had a hull value of 99k (estimated).

Now you are back in my territory where a hot wire was touching something once the gear was in motion. But you are making progress. Fly Arrows long enough and you will deal with these issues...

Is the circuit breaker that is popping the breaker for the pump motor or the breaker for the indicator lights? On my Arrow IV the gear handle doesn't actuate the pump if the indicator lights breaker goes out, and that sounds like what is happening to you. In my case, the problem was a stray...

UPDATE: At the lightspeed booth at OSH this week I explained my problem and the salesperson admitted they had heard of the same issue as mine - "constant thumping sounds from the ANR". They said an upcoming firmware update (via the phone app) will fix it.

I saw this happen twice this year, the first airplane's wings rocked violently until touchdown, the second time the pilot wisely went around. Both times it was the same controller, and both times a different controller came back on right after.
