What’s your normal radio reception range?

There is a formula… I don’t have it handy. That said, uncontrolled fields are lumped together. That’s why you announce the name.

What is required to be insured to fly a KingAir C90 for Part91?

IMO, for what it’s worth, it’s not so much about the airplane as it is the type of flying the more complex airplanes do. Going into ORD or LAX with a descend via, with speed restrictions (possibly outside of published) can be challenging even for a highly experienced pilot.

    Cigar cuts..??

This thing I like about the wedge is I think it gives the most open area for an easy draw. Some cigars seem wrapped a bit tight and the draw can be a bit rough.

    Cigar cuts..??

Thanks all… I will indeed try the straight cut. Since I lost my wedge cutter, I been using the chew method. Actually works pretty good.

Traverse Air Multi-Engine Rating with Tom Brady

For any checkride you have to know the airplane. As far as ME (One Less Engine) procedures, there is only a couple of flows to learn. It’s NOT hard.

    Cigar cuts..??

Straight cut, punch, wedge, or just chew them off?? I used to use a wedge, but I lost my cutter. Trying to figure what to try..??

Traverse Air Multi-Engine Rating with Tom Brady

One brain fart can kill many people. We all make mistakes as humans, but the consequences *could* be more than ugly. But I doubt that anything to do with it being a quickie course.

What's wrong with a dutch roll in a passenger jet?

I could be wrong here, but…. I think what the GA does for coordination practice, is not a *true* Dutch roll. I’m not even certain that a straight wing airplane can do a true Dutch roll. As always, I will likely be proven wrong.

    Time between filing and flying

Do large airports even have a dedicated CD guy anymore?? Most (all?) airliners I know of have the clearance printed out via PDC.

What airline has an airplane with a true delta wing??

    Old enforcement records?

FOIA yourself with the FAA. Don’t trust the standard inquiry.

    Run up area

Refresh me… it’s been a number of years…. A run up, you check mags, vacuum, what else? How long does that take? Seems like flight controls & trim could be done before taxi?? Again, I’m out of practice. In the airlines we do that as a taxi check. FWIW, I think the OP did it correctly.
