Pvt Pilot as Passenger local day Part 91 Sightseeing Flt (not 135). Gets to fly and logs it all PIC?

Of course I log PIC every minute I’m in the airplane… whether or not at the controls. Those rules, although notated in the logging thread, are generalized in common conversation.

If you think flying 200+ passengers 2000+ miles is the same every leg, I do feel badly for you. Weather, ATC, fuel, passenger medicals, aircraft mechanicals, duty regs, and the list goes on. I assume you’re not looking for exact blow by blow experiences. Remember, unlike GA pleasure flying we...

    Logging King Air Time

Correct me if I’m wrong, but that was only for military guys where the MGW was more than 12.5..?? Not really a civilian pilot concern.

    Logging King Air Time

A couple of times he said he was PIC. I was just pointing out that he was not.

I don’t understand this infatuation with airline pilots flying autopilot. It’s as though 99% of flying is being able to keep the airplane straight & level during cruise.

    Logging King Air Time

It seems silly to me (although I understand legality) that you can even log the 2.5 as PIC. You can log it that way, but make no mistake… you were not the pilot in command.

    Take instrument checkride without medical?

Well, seeing as though you got a 97 on your written, I think you should be able to do anything you want as far as requirements for the checkride.

Is there a Pt135 for Dummies?

Without pasting a link to the reg… In short terms, it’s a subpart of 91 to force fractional ownership companies (think Net Jets) to operate closer to 135 rules.

    CFI Responsibility

Although the OP denies it, reading between the lines it *appears* as though he is looking for approval to go after the CFI for damages. I could be wrong, but that’s my gut.

Is there a Pt135 for Dummies?

I have flown commercially part 91, 91K, 135, and 121. By far the hardest was 135. Most restrictions, yet the company (usually) puts the onus on the pilot. They will throw you to the curb. Somewhat same for 91K. 121 easiest because everything is taken care of for you, with tons of support. 91...
