    $150000 of Avionics Stolen.

I can attest to that since there was a couple crossing the end of the runway below me as I was climbing out

    $150000 of Avionics Stolen.

Probably taken for Parts. They are on the ramp since the new hangar for the FBO is still in the planning stage. Should be under construction this year. It is with a four feet high fence

The ones that were hit were on the ramp. The rest of the fleet was hangared.

They do and have tape of the theft. No clue how good it is as Ross isn’t talking more than that.

    $150000 of Avionics Stolen.

My Home Drome was hit by a single thief last night who stole GPS and Comm Gear out of several Flght School planes. https://dayton247now.com/news/local/greene-county-airport-hit-by-150k-theft-affecting-macair-aviation-fleet My plane was locked the hangar and besides the systems are “Vintage”...

What have I done? Crazy old woman musings

Congratulations Judy for finding another thing to do in "Later Life". Besides flying and assorted other diversions, I decided to start assembling an airplane at 82 as well as taking Spanish Lessons. Keeping active has served me well and God Willing and the Creek Don't Rise, I'll fly the new...

What kept you going through training?

If you don't like flying, don't. If you do, quit making it harder than it is. I got my PPL and flew for 300+ hours and took a many year break with kids work etc. Ten years ago, I took up flying again, got a ASES rating (took two tries) and eventually bought a plane and am now assembling...

    Aviation License Plates

I havve two favorite hobbies, Flying and Skiing. Skiing won the Plate but the Frame and Stickers reveal the other. Before the ask, I flew back seat in a Tomcat a couple of times (including out to the Boat) but my day job was an engineer for the USAF for 32.5 years

Thinking about moving and renting out current house

Since the kids will be moving out (Maybe?), think what the situation will be in 4-5 years. Will you be downsizing then and have two houses to sell? Being a landlord is not a ball of fun.

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

Back when I was in grad school, Neil Armstrong was a Prof in the Aero Engineering Dept. I once asked him how many yo-yos told him the moon landing was faked. He said there’s at least two in every crowd.

String of commercial airliner mishaps continues...

One of my very first engineering jobs back in the mid 60’s was to review FAA Yellow Sheets that were brief summaries of incidents of failures on civilian operational flights. I was looking for incidents involving similar engines used by the USAF. The frequency and severity of incidents weren’t...

Not to mention the law clerk(s) really enjoy reading 10000+ emails and summarizing the contents with appropriate citations for His Honor to reflect upon before the rendering judgement upon the perpetrator of this avalanche of irrational blather.

What attributes do you think new MOSAIC compliant LSA aircraft should have to return General Aviation to 10,000 aircraft sales per year?

It has worked for me. Every lady I have dated has loved flying in my “Classic” 1946 Ercoupe which is only slightly younger than me ;). Contrary to Half Fast’s comment about a Gulfstream, “vintage” aged people are mostly happy to be flying or as a passenger in ANY aircraft rather than playing...

    Boeing’s on a streak...

After Swain et al and the USAF Program Director et al were jettisoned along with a Directive from DoD to both sets of leadership to “fix it or We’ll forget it “, things were fixed fairly directly. The combination of My direct boss, the new USAF Program Dierector B/G Ron Kadish and the new McD...
