I've seen 3 different kinds of reporting:

2) THIS IS THE WORST STORM IN HISTORY
3) this is one of the worst storms and it's heading for...
for me it's less about 'being comfortable flying a twin' and more about 'am I comfortable in this new-to-me plane I'm flying'. I'm confident passengers don't wanna hear "hhmm, now where are those dang fuel pump switches located?"

they typically have us start reserving after Jan 1 and give us some kind of group discount. the options are cabins, lodge rooms or camping (although I've never seen anyone camping)
