    What are Roosters for

Am I nuts to envision The Wolf of Wall Street adapted to the egg industry when I read James' posts? There would have to be a scene where the Jonah Hill character in a shirt and tie runs through the production facility clutching important papers to deliver, with the obligatory feathers flying...

Good thing we are only supposed to get 2" of Snow...

Meh, micro-forecasting is starting to bug me. M'lady is getting app addicted: "It will start snowing at 10:20 and be heavy for an hour then a ten minute break followed by two hours of light snow." Yeah, let's see how that works out. A forecast plus or minus a half foot is all I ask, then...

    Canceled Trip

Good call, Captain. A good client will understand, or another will take their place. Now go make your next chain-breaking, potentially life-saving tough call. JMHO.

    Deal or No Deal? RV-9

Some RV project sellers seem to be pricing in a premium for immediate availability these days, but I'm not sure buyers are willing to go there.

    Swisstrax Hangar Floor

When we took occupancy of our newest hangar, several others got a bit of a package deal for epoxy floors, but the cost was a bit much for me. Plus the flecks make finding dropped screws, etc, a real beyotch. Modutile.com diamond top tiles with ramp edge on the front for the lip, $2.39 sqft and...

Celebrating new years the correct way (only tangentially aviation related)

That has been a west coast NYE party hack for years, albeit with EST, and video feeds from New York. I have seen similar in the USVI and the London feeds. OBTW, your AARP membership card should be arriving shortly. :p

Got “thrown out” of an airport today

The Yak is an experimental, as denoted by the "X-ray" in the tail number. It does have a parking brake, so at least idle thrust is accounted for. Nice paint job!

How do you casually mention that you own an airplane without coming off like a ****?

Calling our plane a “small experimental” usually tempers expectations. Which is good since after the last few years of appreciation we can no longer use the “less than your car” reference.

    [na] WiFi Home Thermostats [na]

Nest for three years in our main home, NG heat only. No issues, yet to change batteries. Lightning strikes not a big concern. Carrier Cor thermostat just decommissioned after two years in a part time apartment we rented, a few app related issues, but not bad.

    Expedite your climb

I always got a chuckled "thanks!" when I had plenty of fuel to make my destination and bumped my left hand past the full-throttle detent upon getting an expedite request. Thanks, taxpayers!

Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. . .

All you peeps saying "my plane" need to make a concerted effort to say "our plane" if the situation warrants. I have done such recently, and it pays dividends, trust me. :happydance:
