I would not do this. I'd either make a second call when #1 at the runway or not call at all and pick up clearance in the air. A lot would depend on the airspace I was entering. If approach is going to be busy, like NYC area, I'd call for clearance then call for release. In the middle of nowhere...

Get your clearance. Taxi to the runway, call back and say #1 on runway X. If you can call for the clearance, what's the big deal to make a second call?

You don't - Your 1 "official" card will come with the GTN. The one from Amazon also works. Garmin claims your wings will fall off if it's not a Certified card. The xi series have given up on that fallacy, the pre xi stuff works fine with any FAT32 card also.
