    Position of Autopilot control

I get pretty surprised when mine goes off. Never used it for it's intended use. (marker beacon)

    GI275 Bluetooth problem

Two thoughts. 1. Do you have anything else you've ever paired to the 275? Like a phone or something you might have in the plane. Garmin BT is not very good with multiple devices. 2. Try deleting ALL BT connections from the 275 and re-pairing.

    Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

Watch Biathlon in the winter games. Cross country ski race with a rifle on your back. Stop, shoot at a target and if you miss, take a penalty lap. They have standing and prone stations during the race. Think it's 5 shots at each station. The ability to control your breathing is key.

    S Turns over an Airport????

I used to train at that airport. There's a recognized practice area just to the north with a bazzilion places to practice s-turns, turns around a point etc. Agree OP could have gotten out, but understand why he was cautious. Had a similar situation at the same airport when an IFR trainee called...

    GI275 question

Think that might be your issue right there. Level ground is not the standard, level per the service manual is. Do what Ryan suggests, check level at the level points with a level. (did I say level enough?)

Can get a couple radar options on Apple CarPlay.

    The MyFlightBook thread

There are two types of Tri-motors in MFB, set it to the second one in the pull down menu where you add an aircraft. It's then HP.

    GI275 question

When they are installed, the plane is supposed to be jacked to a standard "level" position from the planes service manual. Guessing yours weren't and the plane was a bit nose up on it's wheels.

    KFC-200 vs Stec 50

It can fly an approach, just have to hand fly the vertical axis.

How do perform short field landings for practical test

I use a sight picture of the whole runway. How high, how far? Using eyes, not instruments. Check speed once or twice, but more focused on where the plane is relative to the target and where I expect to round out. It works for me, but certainly not the only way and you should do what your CFI is...

How do perform short field landings for practical test

I have a Cherokee. When I did my PP practical, I told my DPE I'm landing on the third stripe after the numbers. I maneuvered the plane to put it there. I had to adjust power, pitch and I might have thrown in a bit of a slip if I was a touch high, don't remember. Landed within the ACS requirement...

How do perform short field landings for practical test

The "Aiming point" is a place where you aim so that you round out and touch down at the Target. Some people don't use an aiming point (me). You tell the DPE your target, he doesn't care what your aiming point is, just that you touch down on, or no more than 200 feet past your TARGET. What if you...

How do perform short field landings for practical test

That's basically how you do it. Throttle and pitch to hit your touchdown point. There's not a "procedure". Main difference between that and a regular landing is a bit slower/steeper and hitting a specific target within 200 feet. You are way overcomplicating it. You have to demonstrate mastery of...

How do perform short field landings for practical test

And the target point is where you say you are going to land. You need your wheels to touch on that point or no more than 200 feet past it. That is not the same as an aiming point.

Recommend me a blood pressure journal app for iPhone

Sure it does. Heart monitors, bike computers, apps among others can be used to upload data to apple health. To me the biggest disadvantage to apple health is that you can't view data on a laptop. Only works on phone or ipad. This is driven by HIPPA concerns, not any technology issues.

Bonanza down at Long Island Airport

In 2022 in Florida, there were 3,434 car fatalities or 9.5/day. No one is thinking "I might hang up my car keys". We now have POA folks that peruse the internet daily and report any aircraft accident. So we are seeing a lot more. No idea if the actual rates are going up though.

    Diversion Scenario:

If we set aside the hypoxia thing, I think the real question was "talk first" or "turn first"? Assuming an onboard medical emergency, I'd declare with intentions. So basically talk and turn. I'd go to DAB for reasons others have stated. That's a crazy busy class C and I would not want to have to...

    Airports with a Hotel...

This site has hotels and Air BnB's near airports. https://av8maps.com/ A lot missing, but some interesting stuff on it. Found a cool A-Frame in Maine with a 2,300 foot grass strip.
