Big brother is watching you ;-) lol. Common purpose will be breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on what time of the day.

    Hitching a flight in Texas

Can anyone in the Dallas area give me a ride from F00 to FWS this Sunday? Time doesn't matter as long as I can make it back to F00 before sunset.

    Brokers

I bought my last plane from a broker. He knew the plane better than the owner himself, and was incredibly helpful in the whole process.

Closed the Deal - Piper Lance

If you have a whole football team of kids, I won't argue with you. If you can live with four seats, I would argue with you lol.

How does one find a lawyer out of state? (asking for a friend)

This is so crazy. This exact same thing happened to a buddy of mine on the forum. Maybe you know him? Oh... wait.

Wake Turbulence: Small behind a Large

I always ask for a delay if taking off or landing behind a big, heavy airplane. I once had a controller being an a** about it but other than that one time, they’ve always been super nice and accommodating to my request.

    Help

Check out study.com and sophia.org and see if any of their courses will get accepted by your college of choice. Most core credits should be able to transfer. Cheapest way to earn college credit these days.

Finally stopped thinking - bought my first plane!

100% this! Especially if you don't have anything installed now, pay the extra, what is it, $300? to have inertia reel harnesses. Definitely worth it and from an installation POV, it's pretty much the same.

Finally stopped thinking - bought my first plane!

I installed the ones sold by Alpha Aviation in my Comanche. They also have them for the Beech via stc. They’re attached to the ceiling of the cabin. Wasn’t a huge job according to the bill my mechanic sent me. That was the first thing i installed after i bought the plane. i refused to fly it...

VFR flight plans. Do you file them?

You can sign up for easy open and easy close. Allows you to open and close via text message. Before starting the engine, I just send a text message to open and once I shut down the engine, I send another text message to close. If I forget, I get a text message asking me if I arrived. No need to...

VFR flight plans. Do you file them?

I usually file them. In Canada, you have to file a flight plan or leave a flight itinerary with a responsible person every time you go further than 25 miles from the point of departure. I tend to also file in the U.S. especially since it's so easy here with text message to open and close the...

Finally stopped thinking - bought my first plane!

They work great. I used one for about a year until I upgraded my panel with a built in unit. Thinking of, I should post mine on the classified board if I can figure out in which moving box it is lol.

    Our move to Texas

Haha, totally forgot. If not this Thursday it would be after the 6th anyways. Only coming back from Lubbock on the 6th, probably in the evening.

Congrats! Plenty of options for ADS-B in that won't cost a whole lot. Look at Stratux.

    Our move to Texas

I'll PM you. Seems like this week, the only viable day (with work and all) would be Thursday afternoon. If that doesn't work out, it would have to be after the 6th of November.

    Our move to Texas

Have them ferry my plane to the new location? Won't work for two reasons: 1. I want to fly it over myself. 2. My plane is registered in Canada - from my experience, most flight schools and FBOs are reluctant to ferry a non-US registered plane.

    Our move to Texas

Quick move to Texas update and question: So, it's been like just over 3 weeks since we arrived. We found a home. We found a hangar (albeit an open one) not too far from said home. Now we keep busy getting some work done on the home (just some personalization work), furnishing it and landscaping...
