    The world will end shortly…

Nice truck! Congrats on, like, actually getting it. For how long was it on order? These have surely been strange times!

    Piper Cherokee oil Leak?

Assuming I'm correct (and from your description, think I am), it very unlikely to blow off and, if it did, it would take a Very Long Time to bleed out. Edit: Post a picture, if you can.

    Piper Cherokee oil Leak?

Not intimately familiar with the Cherokee's setup (and it could well have changed in the 45 or 50 years since she was built), but what you describe sounds very much like it may be the line to the oil pressure gauge. If so, likely has a restricted coupling such that it won't leak you out of oil...

Another snowflake traumatized by routine go-around

That is an interesting point. Palm 90 would have been saved, had the pilots recognized that they were simply not getting the full power their EPR indications told them they should be getting, and just shoved the “throttles” to the stops. I assume the current crop of FADEC controls have some...

    Rental car insurance

I believe Texas law requires coverage; but, if they don't ditch 'em. Call Farm Bureau (probably a better deal anyway). -- Edit: It is not *required,* but it is commonly provided, and if LiMu fails to provide it with your liability, then they are providing an inferior insurance product...

Student signed off for, but never...

…going from a long-wing Warrior to a Hershey bar 180, I’d make sure to do some stalls and pattern work (which, of course, you will do or more likely already have done). And, make certain he’s reasonably comfy with the window-crank trim.

@flyingcheesehead - how old is your LG? We bought one in 2020, working great, but need to know if we are in the fail zone.

    Tell Me How To Move

Unless it’s a stupid difference, I’d just hire it done, packing, loading, moving, unloading, unpacking. Done it both ways, hire it done,

    Dynon Skyview and Autopilot’s

See, there you have it. Crow served-up, fresh and hot, and eaten with gusto. And I did not know the Dynon wouldn’t feed GPSS or heading bug to the S-Tec (assume it’s intended only to feed the Dynon a/p).

    Dynon Skyview and Autopilot’s

I cower at the notion of challenging the great Jesse Saint (and no, not being derisive), but an S-Tec autopilot doesn’t rely on a G5 for attitude. The question is, can the Dynon feed GPS steering commands to the S-Tec autopilot? I think it can, but would ask… yes…@Jesse Saint.

Some part of the fuel system busted. What's the takeaway?

Vibration is the single greatest risk to the GA airplane. This is a great example, and why we have to inspect the crud out of these marvelous beasts. I’m very glad you’re ok, because (and I ain’t joking) a leak like that could lead to a terrible fire. —- Edit: What Salty said ^^^.

EdFred you suck but I love ya!

April’s a great gal, by the way, with apparently limitless patience and two nice kids. And, as always Ed’s mom Diz claims to be older than I, but has the energy of a sixteen year old when it comes to celebrating Ed’s nuptials. The whole thing rocked!

Have you met Ed? He’s… different. An acquired taste. … How’s Planey doing, BTW? Sending along strong vibes for a safe and satisfying trip back!

EdFred you suck but I love ya!

So, I wish Adam was joking, but I can’t say that he is. It’s always good to see Ed. It’s just… disappointing… that he would do this to us. I guess that’s just Ed. Heavy sigh.

    I've flown your airplane before.(?)

This is fun. I see a172 that is one S/N off of one in which I did a bunch of training for my private and IR. Geek out!
