    PoA newbie help

Time for Neal's scary post.... I've never had $3000 for insurance in the Lance. Last year was $3300 and that was after I had hundreds of hours in type. First year was over $5000 but I had no IFR and no retract time. You have retract time so that will help. Hope you have your IFR. My first few...

    Done . . .

I used Ross Aviation which I think is now Atlantic? This was 2 years ago. I guess if there is a next time it will be Jet Aviation.

    Time between filing and flying

What about 135 operators? Lots of those at Hobby too. If I remember correctly it was a dedicated person.

    Done . . .

I went into KBED (Bedford) and they waived nothing. Some places are just jerks. Signature at Mayo has been the best. Sorry to hear of the diagnosis. It's the same that took my grandfather at age 81. I wish you and family peace and enjoyment for the time you have with them.

    ....

Define "hiking." We have a 20+ mile walking trail that goes right by my airport in central IL.

    Time between filing and flying

But if you do that during the Southwest morning push at Hobby, they will be really annoyed. :dunno:

Same. Have filed (re-filed) from the hold short. It's quick.

Sat 6/15/2024 - naked women, free beer and everyone gets a puppy

My new strategy is to never fly my plane again. That way it can stop breaking.

Multi Training - Instrument Approach OEI Training

The engine failure while turning onto the localizer is taking longer to master than I'd hoped. That's a lot going on all at once.

Multi Training - Instrument Approach OEI Training

I now have 7 hours of multi training. Was curious for those that have done their AMEL or if you are an MEI, where did you train for the engine failing during the instrument approach portion? Would also love to hear if you trained for one thing and got something different during the checkride.

    IFR Filing with Liedos

My Garmin Pilot filings go to our local immediately. I don't have the delay that Jim sees. I haven't gotten a reroute at the time of clearance in probably 2 years (midwest flying is great) so I don't remember if GP gives me the new route or not. My last re-route was midflight.

    Six Place Rental near Philly

DVA is the one he is in. He doesn't know of another place to fly a 6 seater in Philly.

I have a colleague in Philly that is a member of a club that has a PA32 if you want me to get the name.

Taking a deeper dive into maneuvering speed

If @Pilawt is around I wonder if he knows of any PA32 design changes between 76 and 77. I have the 77 so my Va is higher than Jim's 76. Our planes look fairly identical though.
