    IACRA

Hello Aviators, I signed up for a flight school this week and the cfi took my information and a copy of my passport to put in IACRA. Should i be getting a confirmation that it was entered into IACRA?

    Time building Connecticut

Great pireps. I think i will be starting at 4B9 Simsbury. I work about 6 miles from Simsbury and my job is flexible enough to take a 2 hour lunch. Just went there for lunch today to get my info in IACRA but the guy wasn't there. I will check tomorrow. The Wx is very favorable the next couple of...

    Time building Connecticut

I was going to start my training there then the kappa was bent. So now I'm skipping the sport ticket and just going straight into PPL. I hear the winds going into KSNC are a little squirrelly. Quick question for my CT brethren, do you have an AME that you recommend?

    Arion lightning pilots

In non-turbulent air Nick Otterback has been planning for 160Kts cruise with the Titan. That engine is still being optimized for the plane. It is climbing in Excess of 2000fpm and can redline the engine. It needs more prop. at 2500PRM and 20 inches of manifold pressure so they are not working...

    Arion lightning pilots

No worries Stan. Wiki is sometimes suspect. My source was a POH and my memory. The latter can be equally suspect as i just hit the big 50.

Ptown. Also before plunking down hard earned money on one just be sure to get an insurance quote. They are double the rates of what a SportCruiser or Bristell is.

    Arion lightning pilots

Cool pics, any vids? So it looks like you have built before so no factory assistance required. I'm thinking for me a used mkii tail with a jabiru. Gen 2 or newer. Youtube needs a lightning tutorial that shows preflight walk around and takeoff checklist.

    Hello. Newb.

Hi Jessie, This learning is a marathon not a sprint. The are 2 types of LSAs. The first is a factory built LSA which is referred to as an S-LSA. The second is a homebuilt or factory assist LSA which os referred to as an E- LSA. The E is experimental. There are advantages and disadvantages to...

    Arion lightning pilots

Hi Zaitcev, I'm in Connecticut. I spoke to "Buzz" Rich who has test piloted a number of Arion Lightning. (Side note: he is an awesome human being who spent a bunch of time on the phone with me discussing the Lightning) Buzz told me to be careful with the Esqual. They are very fast but they...

    Arion lightning pilots

I spoke to a couple of Arion Lightning pilots and they say that it is a docile plane that likes to fly. Just manage the speed at landing and it is easy to fly. Anyone else have seat time in an Arion Lightning? What are your thoughts?

4 seat kits. What's out there?

Both are great choices. Any chance you can find one that the owner ran out of time or money with?

Wow.. This is Bravo airspace to me

Yeah i have been in traffic for 90 minutes. And most days it is an hour. The places i plan on flying are non towered. As for planes im looking at... They are zippy LSA.. Slowed to not bust 120 knots. I will post another thread on that once i get 10-15 hours under my belt. I have money...

Wow.. This is Bravo airspace to me

Awesome responses and advice. Im looking at ksnc. The CFI at kmmk wasn't into sport pilot traning and thought that a BRS was a gimmick and said good pilots fly it to the ground. We talked for about 20 minutes on the phone and i just think it would have not been good for either of us. I'm not...
