    Than a P-51A? Doubt it.

Did you have a gyro? Either way, seriously impressive work! Also, I'll admit I'm a wee bit jealous!

First Annual North Texas Winter Extravaganza - Cedar Mills (3T0)

Um, @SixPapaCharlie are we looking at the same calendar for 2025??? https://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=2025&country=1 Are you really looking at Monday-Wednesday fly-in camping? I'm looking at my kids' weekend calendars and the poll dates and things don't match up.

Wanted: Cessna 182 for lease in Dallas, Texas

Thanks for opening the thread! We are an established aerial photography company, and my crew has been serving North and West Texas for the last decade. We are thinking of adding some services and making some changes to our operation and we are looking for a Cessna 182 that we could lease once...

    Emerging from the woods

I probably won't be able to go (May try, but work usually gets in the way), but Ranger is a good fly-in. https://www.rangerairfield.org/airshow

    Continental A75 reassembly/overhaul....

Texas is a pretty big place. Any more "regional" preference?

Allowing CFI to fly my plane

I'm actually the only named pilot on a plane that I occasionally fly with the owner. Personally, if I was the CFI, I'd want to be named before I would agree to fly it solo.

    Oh, those silly geographers.....

Region? We don't need no stinkin' region. ~ a Texan

    Spin training

The "Typical" spin endorsement from my own informal polling is a pencil-whipped, almost useless deal. Go read the Advisory Circular on what it should cover. https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/advisory_circulars/index.cfm/go/document.information/documentid/1028760

PIREP of KELP - El Paso

It was just ELP until they added the K in front of all of our airports for international purposes. ELP is exceedingly obvious for EL Paso.

PIREP of KELP - El Paso

If fuel prices are an issue and you aren't staying overnight, Dona Ana should be on your radar. https://www.airnav.com/airport/KDNA If you have a little time, go to the War Eagles Museum if you want to see some interesting things like a Soviet WWII aircraft. https://www.wareaglesairmuseum.com/

PIREP of KELP - El Paso

We stop at ELP semi-regularly and I like the town. Either FBO has nice amenities and has decent people. A lot of times you can get a golf cart ride to go see the NASA Super Guppy, too.

Word to the wise - a warm body with a certificate days are over - for now.

I have a feeling that in your case it's "who you know" because I know other people that aren't even getting to the interview stage who "should" be qualified.
