    Major cellular outage

Mine too. Sounds like it was an AT&T issue.

    GoGetAir G750

That thing looks awesome. Love seeing some different options out there.

    It’s just a ****ing game

It doesn't change your point, but my wife is sort of an outlier - friggin' five year residency, two years of research, and now finishing up her one year fellowship. Most doctors are smarter about their choice of specialties (I joke only because my wife does!). :)

Toyota is right about EVs after all...

I still want one. Need to get out into the suburbs first, though.

    It’s just a ****ing game

I was gonna say, celibacy saves you guys a TON of money. ;) :p But to your point - my wife is a doctor and will be 37 before she sees six figures. But hopefully she'll turn the corner soon and I can semi-retire!

pilot airline jobs are we at the peak

That's true, but one advantage of the 'circadian trash' is that your family is all in bed while you're in the air. So I can leave Sunday night after my daughter is in bed and be home first thing Wednesday morning right as she's waking up (of course I *do* need to nap when I get home, but I'll...

pilot airline jobs are we at the peak

I went from the left seat of a narrowbody to the right seat of the 777 and couldn't be happier. And being in base, the flexibility to bid reserve when I'd rather be home all month is pretty nice. As @jordane93 said, this widebody stuff is especially awesome with a young kiddo. I can see why...

    This flying seems awfully expensive...

Ha! No I haven't. You mean to tell me the tires cost more than those of my Honda? :D

What Happens (Happened) to 737 Max Flight Crews?

In my case we just flew the other 737s. During the grounding we had far fewer MAX airframes as a percentage of the overall 737 fleet, so shifting the flying was a lot more trivial than it would be today.

    This flying seems awfully expensive...

Yeah, but what's that Dodge gonna cost to operate? The up-front cost isn't what scares folks about an airplane.

Masters of the Air--coming to Apple TV

Yeah, I was really disappointed too - kind of blew my mind that the CGI was as incompetent as it was.

    Waypoint Fun.... Whatcha Got?

I always liked the WEEED fix on the WLEEE arrival into AUS. There are couple of other good fix names related to the musician on the arrival as well. Then up around Michigan, there's the TWIGS fix on Q440. Which isn't too interesting until you cross the next fix, which is BERYS. :)

    This flying seems awfully expensive...

Also thinking about your earlier post, this is part of the reason why owning an airplane - if it ever happens for me - will be a purely recreational decision. All family members of both myself and my wife are well connected by airline routes, so that makes the decision a little easier too. Work...

Thinking about an EV (nvm, bought one)

Congrats on the purchase! We'll be likely jumping on the EV train sometime this summer, so I look forward to further reviews!

Long haul flying - what a PITA

Yeah, so far the positives are outweighing the negatives, but it's only been a year. I wish I had gone to the 757/767 when I had the chance - would have been fun to fly!

    C441 real world range

I don't think what you're looking to do is reasonably possible without dropping the SP requirement and looking into the more serious jets. You won't want to SP those leg lengths on a regular basis anyway.

Long haul flying - what a PITA

On the GA side, I've done 6 hours in a 182R and 5 hours in a Citation S550. The 182 trip was while in college so it didn't hurt *too* much (or more accurately - too dumb to care), and while the Citation cockpit is small, at least I could climb out from time to time to stretch. But now that I'm...

How many hours did you fly in 2023?

    12.2 GA hours. I feel shame. :(
