    Sun Valley Idaho pireps?

I haven't been to KSUN since Atlantic took over. The prices you quoted seem reasonable and if you can get it in writing I would definitely tiedown there vs driving from Twin Falls. +1 on visiting Stanley (2U7), it's a short 30 min flight from KSUN. It's a relatively easy strip most of the time...

Ever since I got the engine monitor always full rich when I can.

If budget is a concern, find a club that has a C150 in the fleet, you're not likely going to find a cheaper time building ownership option. But in keeping within the constraints of your original post, an RV-12 checks a lot of your boxes...

Do engine STCs help or hurt resale value?

I think a C172 with the Air Plains or Penn Yan O-360 conversion increases value. I'm not so sure about the Franklin conversion. It sounds great, but there aren't very many of them and as you mentioned parts look concerning. There's a C172B on TAP with a 400 SMOH O-300-D for $45K. I would be...

Umbrella policies, waivers of liability to passenger question

For this reason I only take my older friends (we're all close to retirement and so limited loss of earnings potential and kids are grown and moved out) and family for rides in my Skyhawk and only my wife gets to ride with me in my RV-12...

    BasicMed CMEC Date and FAA

Is it a requirement that the FAA has the date of your last CMEC? Background: My Course dates and CMEC dates have never matched as I took the course once BasicMed was rolled out but didn't have the CMEC until several months later. At the time I had a Second Class SI so it didn't really matter...

Sumping fuel in the desert/preflight checklists?

I sump before every flight, even a lunch stop because you never know where water may migrate to and it may not make it to the low spot until sloshing around in flight. I once discovered jet fuel in the tank during a preflight, so agree with the above post, it's not always about water...

    Flying after a stroke

FWIW, if I was in the same situation, I would go Sport Pilot and not look back. You won't be able to instruct, but you will still be able to fly and the final MOSAIC rule could potentially make your sport flying indistinguishable from your current flying...
