They claim that they were. They had several bladder tanks (a variety of new and old) full of fuel circulating at elevated temperatures for months....with no leaks or degradation to the materials.

Over fill will not cause that.....

Why didn't the other 60 yo bladder with the 100LL fail.....?:frown2::stirpot:

They had to make Oshkosh......and didn't have time to replace them beforehand. They rolled the dice....and got snake eyes. :rolleyes:

Even with a tower....it sometimes doesn't end well. A few years ago at FDK a controller flew a Cirrus into an R44.

Yup.....and when I worked in industry we farmed out R&D engine testing to Rouch. They have very capable engine labs for testing....I'll bet far exceeding George's rigs.
