I don't know where I get this stuff from....it's been a few years since I had to the Designee Manager's course in OK City. I just checked the Designee database....and IAs are not in the new database. So ....there is that. ;)

It's not the same as the other designees....but, it is a kind of designee....the IAs were in the designee database.

I have no idea what you post....my experience with FSDOs and HDQrs is my reference. I've dealt with ASI's who felt they had certain powers....till they were smacked by AFS350. ;)

How did I say it changed anything? And there are ASI's who think you may not be "ready".....that's not what the rule says.

notice the word..... "entitled". ;) This one is quite different than other FAA designees.....who need to have the "need" and "ability" for the designee approval.

My Bo costs me $2,400/yr in insurance and I have quite a bit of time with an instrument rating (it might be 3x for you).....$3,500 in hangar rent.....bout $3-5,000 in yearly maintenance. It burns 15-17 gph.....so that's atleast $300/hr.....if that makes sense....go for it. The next best thing...
