That looks really good! I'm fittin' to do the same here in a bit. Tri tip and drumsticks.

    Belt-driven reduction units?

Harleys use belt drives. Those are usually the last component to fail. Not that they dont.

And they likely have. The pork sausages went quickly. The chicken ones were hardly touched. When I was a GI stationed in cold war Germany (just before the wall came down) I was sent to live with a German farm family as a cultural exchange program. In other words, a free GI who will work your...

Breakdown... Well, next time I'm procuring the tri tip. A couple were of good quality and tender, and the other two less so, plus a greater portion was more rare than I wanted and hence tougher as well, due to the thawing issue. I mean, overall I would rate success, but definitely not my best...

That's a good idea. I don't think we have big enough ziplocks though.

    Food Caused Dizzyness?

I'm fairly resistant to food poisoning. When I'm in SE Asia, I don't have a problem eating at places where westerners are advised not to eat. It took a while to build up a tolerance though.

Well shizzle me fizz nits. When I pulled the tri tip out of the fridge this morning they were still frozen solid. The two big ones still are. I guess on the positive note they all were trimmed pretty close so I won't need to do any fat trimming. Hopefully they will be thawed enough by cooking time.

Back firing on power to idle. Lycoming 540 Edition

Backfire on decel is caused by unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust, which would be aggravated by an overly rich mixture. I personally don't enrichen at all unless I'm descending from a high altitude. But I also generally run LOP in cruise as well. What are you flying? A Bonanza? Presumably...

A barbecue adventure, the saga unfolds.

Tomorrow will be a challenge. We are doing Oktoberfest at work. We have a single charcoal grill and the ladies picked up the tri tip on Tuesday (It went in the freezer.) There is a lot - five of them, so I'll have to do them in two loads plus there are sausages and veggie burgers. We will see...

A barbecue adventure, the saga unfolds.

There was a technique the Afghanis (and other Middle Eastern) people used. And that was to dig a ten foot hole in the ground and start a BBQ fire in it and suspend a whole lamb or sheep in it for a few hours via a pulley. Spices were rubbed on the meat. I have tried my hand at souvlaki. I've...

The older mountain bike thread but now a road bike review update

Yes it is. The Tarmac is much more valuable as a bike as it is for whatever money I could get selling it. 2012 carbon technology and components aren't commanding much of a price. Yet it's still a damn solid ride. Well I got my Cervelo back. And I even had the wherewithal to ask the BSD if they...
