Certainly wasn't how I meant it. There are always multiple paths to get from here to there, as well as how important timing is. If one way doesn't work out, step back, readjust, try again another way and another time.

Academy, ROTC, active duty, reservist, there are plenty of ways to get from A to B. Through outright determination, a habit of refusing to give up long past when I should have, and a bit of pure dumb luck, I've been "fortunate" enough to experience all of them, though I never did make it all...
