    I got hired !

Plenty of time later on to worry about CC PIC. At 400 hours, just getting paid to fly and it not being instructing is awesome.

"I'm pretty sure an Airbus would have the same problem..."

That image is old enough to have been passed around in a chain email.

    Color blind or not?

I was able to get into an Air Force clinic a few years ago that offered one of the new color contrast tests and was really impressed with it, much more fidelity and it gives you a percentage of each color. I was borderline passing on green but fine on everything else. Wish that test would have...

What single engine trainer to buy?

Why are the Beechcraft trainers never recommended? The Musketeer and Sundowner seem like great training platform, but I have to assume parts are expensive and/or hard to find?

Someone call Heather Brooke, she'll get that loosened right up.

Expected wait time to hear back from FAA after submitting requested documentation?

Huh, just needed to wait another day, apparently. Checked MedXpress today and it's been updated to Under Final Review. Now I anxiously wait to see if they'll actually send me a medical cert or want more documentation.

Expected wait time to hear back from FAA after submitting requested documentation?

See title. Anyone know what kind of time frame to expect? It's not lost on me that they require documentation to be submitted within 60 days but I was told it could be up to 6 months to receive a response  Mine was pretty simple, just elevated blood pressure and I submitted the...

Looks like it's "down" to $512k for the factory assist. Damn, badass setup, but....damn.

How do I become a fighter pilot?

Did that. What does that get him if he wants to fly fighters?

How do I become a fighter pilot?

Certainly wasn't how I meant it. There are always multiple paths to get from here to there, as well as how important timing is. If one way doesn't work out, step back, readjust, try again another way and another time.

How do I become a fighter pilot?

Academy, ROTC, active duty, reservist, there are plenty of ways to get from A to B. Through outright determination, a habit of refusing to give up long past when I should have, and a bit of pure dumb luck, I've been "fortunate" enough to experience all of them, though I never did make it all...

    Pilot Career Question

It's largely a completely separate pipeline these days, it's not like 10-15 years ago where jet dudes were getting RPAs.

Does this have any useful value for an experienced XC and IR Private Pilot ?

Yes, they can be. You can load approaches and procedures into the gps, as well as use something like this: https://navigraph.com/simulators/microsoft-flight-simulator/xbox Also, Honeycomb flight controls work with xbox, too...

Vans Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

That poster will forever be seared into my brain pan for the ass-chewing I received in flight school as I stared at that f'n poster on the wall behind the LCDR giving said ass-chewing.
