You keep saying OP doesn't care about any of those things, and yet here they are asking how to do it better and correctly, so your entire premise is wrong. Maybe take it up with the flight school or instructor that allowed the plane to be flown with INOP primers if you really care that much.

I think I did my first discovery flight around 10, maybe 12. Starting getting flights for birthdays or Christmas after that. Think I had 5 or 6 hours by the time I finally started flight training at 20.

The flight school I used to instruct at in Gulfport ordered 1 of them to test out. I've been curious their thoughts, I know they didn't do all the plumbing.
