    Must haves for cross country

I really appreciate everyone's feedback. I've been updating my flight bag and the "to pack" list accordingly.

    Must haves for cross country

I'm doing my longest XC so far, just under 400 nm, and I'm curious what others like to bring on a flight with them that is planned to be just over 3 hours.

My turn to land at a Bravo

Were you there around noon? I thought I heard a Mooney while I was doing the bridge transition.

    Misfueled Aerostar

I knew Dr. Dan from our field, he was a great person who did a lot of good for the local community and to others in need. I have a hard time believing that the pilot called for the jet truck. The aircraft was placarded with 100LL on each tank, the Jet-A nozzle didn't fit the aircraft and the...

Help Needed in Choosing Online Private Pilot Ground School

Disclaimer, I train at a Cessna used Pilot Center, so we get a package deal with Kings Ground School. The videos are definitely outdated but the information is still accurate. I used Kings for my primary ground School and training. When it was time for my written, I used the Gleim book to test...

Who says...? Pssshh....whatever. I’ll sit where I want.

I don't believe there are any regs on this. Our flight school requires the PIC to fly in the left seat and only our flight school instructors are permitted to fly from the right.

    2019 Mooney down - DVT

We have the same standards. If we fuel an aircraft and it goes down, we suspend all fueling until we're cleared. It's not just an FBO thing but also a requirement from our fuel provider.

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

Started on my check ride preparation work today. Scheduled my mock ride with our chief CFI for July 17th.

    Class C transition

Unlikely yes, but I would still like to have the knowledge just in case. Can't hurt to have the information before hand, can it? If altitude and course changed.

    Class C transition

I'm not sure if I'm giving off that impression but it's certainly not my intention. I am fully aware that I only need to contact them if I enter the Charlie. My plan is to not enter the Charlie but if something happens and I need to either change my course or lower my altitude then it would put...

    Class C transition

I do. I was thinking if I was below 4000 and then I would need to contact them.

    Class C transition

Hi all, I really appreciate the input from everyone. I plan on picking up flight following but was looking for the frequency information in case 1) FF is denied for whatever reason. 2) if I wasn't handed off to Fort Myers prior to reaching the C area.

    Class C transition

Hi all, If I wanted to transition through a class Charlie airspace, let's say RSW, and I'm coming from the north would I contact 127.05 or 125.15? Do controllers tend to get upset if you just call any of the approach frequencies? TIA!
