Garmin G3X Touch in a Certificated Airplane

The Garmin folks at OSH told me they had nothing to do with it, nor were they spending any time on certified approvals of any kind for the G3X.

    FAA and airline seat size/pitch

Well, right. Most of us with any kind of risk adverse tendencies wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of a lawsuit banking on such a waiver.

    FAA and airline seat size/pitch

Yeah, but can't an approved opspec legally conflict with 121?

Who should I interview at Oshkosh?

We went to the MyFlightbook meet up. It was great to meet Eric and there was some very productive conversion to be had.

    Oshkosh - Departures

Left around 9am on Saturday, spent probably 20 minutes in line for 27, and we were shot out in like 10 second intervals.

    Why Aren't UWO Dorms Full?

    OSH - Where y'at?!

We got stuck back at the dorms with a work emergency... had to watch the Blues from afar, but it was neat from that perspective. You normally don't get to watch their rejoins and setup air work.

    Lycoming SB 632 - a disaster?

How do we know that the answer to the question about the answer to the question should be trusted to another SGOTI, eh? [emoji12]

    Lycoming SB 632 - a disaster?

We'd need a lawyer with experience in this realm to chime in, then. Perhaps Lycoming could have known that this was a likely or possible outcome? Is there any engineering data to have predicted these failures in normal operations?

    A Candid Question About Flying

I know I sometimes have some kind of fear of falling... and it sucks sometimes. It's as if you don't trust your own balance when you could do the same thing if it was 1' off of the ground instead of higher.

Or don't consider how long they'll be in forecasted icing... or think they will survive it all on low.
