I was telling 6er that I had to look up who was playing the halftime show. never heard of the dude so I figured it would surely suck. but then I listened to a few tunes and I was laughing my arse off. listen to the first three tunes on the playlist (or more if you're into that). not that I'd ever listen to it again but it's pretty funny stuff. plus you get to say the N word repeatedly, because you know, lyrics. and when I say repeatedly, I mean like a thousand times. if you're into that, of course.

That just won Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video at yesterday's Grammy Awards.

Eh. I like Pro football better than college. The quality of play is so much better. But I know many feel differently.
I used to like watching College football much more grown up men playing a game for millions and millions of dollars.
The fact that I'm jealous of them has nothing to do with it.
But now that the College game is becoming Pro Football Light, I'm not sure what the future holds for the game.

And, if you can get past that particular word, that song is pretty anti-pedophilia and pro-woman. I can think of worse messages to win a grammy.

you know, I really wasn't sure where I stood on pedophilia until I listed to this tune. I'm really starting to come around now that I know his stance on it. he really set me straight.

....Dude won a Pulitzer for crying out loud!

didn't know you could win a pulitzer just for crying out loud. the chicks on the view must have storage bins full of pulitzers by now.

Pee wee football is the best entertainment for your dollar. I mean where else do the parents run out onto the field after the play is over to pick the players up to get them back on their feet for the next play...

No superbowel for me...I'm just gonna watch the puppy bowl instead.

That's better than watching the parents attacking coaches and officials. :-/

Ugh. Philly and Kansas City. Wish it could end in a 0-0 tie.

I believe we're stuck with the Chiefs in the Superbowl until Taylor writes her next song about her next ex-boyfriend.

It’s up to whichever team provides the biggest bribe to the officiating staff.

Not really the matchup any of us wanted to see.

At the beginning of the playoffs, I was hoping (of course) for my Packers to go, but not really expecting it by any means. My backup team to cheer for was the Lions; even though they're a division rival it's not much of a rivalry like it is with Chicago or Minnesota, and I just kinda want long-suffering Lions fans to get one.

As soon as they were eliminated, I was rooting for a Vikings-Bills Super Bowl. If that had happened, one team would be winning their first ever Super Bowl, while the other team would have a dubious and unprecedented 0-5 record. (Of course, I wanted the Bills to win this scenario).

Well, then both MN and Detroit were eliminated, so I was kinda rooting for Washington 'cuz why not have the story of a rookie QB going to the Super Bowl.

And, we ended up with the Eagles, who my team lost to twice this year. Grr.

I was still pulling for the Bills on the AFC side. They've been really good the last few years, a cousin of mine is a big fan, and I wouldn't have to listen to people whining about the Chiefs. Alas, we got the Chiefs.

I don't dislike the Chiefs the way some people do, they play exciting football and that Mahomes kid is pretty good. I do like Andy Reid, he's an old Green Bay assistant and they really should have hired him instead of Ray Rhodes.

One way or another, it should be a good game. I must admit that I'm kinda pulling for the Eagles because I don't want to hear the arguments between Packers and Chiefs fans over whether the Packers' two previous three-peats are legitimate because ThEy WeReN't AlL sUpEr BoWlS! (1929-31 and 1965-67, including the first two Super Bowls.)

Let me know when an NFL team wins 6 championships in a row (cough Boston Celtics cough )

As I said before, I am (was) more of a College football fan. But every team that I was pulling for in the NFL playoffs won.
The reason is that every team that my wife (a huge NFL fan) was pulling for won and I always pulled for the team she wanted.

Life is easier that way.

I don't believe the Celtics ever won an NFL championship. Not that they couldn't have though.
