Thanks for the tip. Michter's doesn't say how long the bourbon is aged. If you have a bottle around, does it say?...I really, really, really like Michener's https://michters.com/ I've tried a bunch of theirs and they run around $50 a bottle (and that's in WA with an insanely high tax, so probably $35 down in CA/NV. Really good stuff and it's always on the shelf.
It can only be called bourbon if aged more than 2 years. So likely under 2Thanks for the tip. Michter's doesn't say how long the bourbon is aged. If you have a bottle around, does it say?

Look at the label on the neck. If it says OBSV, you’ve got OBSV.
If you don’t have a recipe label, well…..it’s not part of the release.
AI to the rescue....You have the 2025 OBSV Single Barrel.

OBSV may refer to a bourbon recipe from Four Roses, an international public speaking agency, or a function in MathWorks.
Four Roses OBSV
- OBSV is a bourbon recipe from Four Roses Distillery that uses a high-rye mashbill and the V yeast strain.
- The B mashbill is a mix of 60% corn, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley.
- The V yeast strain adds delicate fruit flavors like apricot, pear, and plum.
- As the bourbon ages, it develops flavors of caramel, vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- OBSV is a limited single barrel bourbon
which one do u need? All that’s on the recipe page. I did not know they were releasing OBSV (recipe 1) with a blank label. My distributor said he’s only getting three of the four single barrel recipes this year. I’ve got two and hoping I’ll come across the others.
which one do u need?
I hear you. Weller’s used to be my go to, when it was $19/handle.I don't get into the whole small batch, limited release thing...
I checked the two different bottles we happened to have in the cabinet and didn't see an obvious age on either of them. I can attest they're great though. Thanks for the tip. Michter's doesn't say how long the bourbon is aged. If you have a bottle around, does it say?
