The Champ was advertised as the anti-cub. Solo from the front seat, wider cockpit, faster, oleo gear instead of bungees. Great vis over the nose. That said, I like all aircraft of that vintage....here's a Tayorcraft - not as nice a photo as Jack's but you get the idea.DSC00203.jpg

Yeah, but the Champ is a L-16 . . . that scheme is more appropriate for a pre-war 65T or 65C.

A wild fantasy of mine would be to own an "L-museum" . . . one flying example of each, L-1 to L-19 . . . plus all of the Civilian Pilot Training Program aircraft and the Glider Trainers.
