I have a friend considering a plane that is located at KFMY. It has not been flown much in the past few years and is currently out of annual by a few months. He would like to have someone borescope a couple of cylinders and if no issues noted the pull a lifter or two to look for corrosion on the cam. Anyone have suggestions on an A/P?

Alex did he prebuy on my plane when I sold it; the buyer hired him. He took numerous excellent borescope photos, and did a thorough exam of the plane and produced and accurate and honest report. I was impressed with his attention to detail and integrity (he would not discuss the inspection with me, since he was working for the buyer). Nice guy on top of it, and very knowledgeable.

unless its a lycoming h2ad or a continental, you cannot just pull a lifter to look at the cam. the only way to get a look at the cam on a standard lycoming is to pull a cyl. i'm based at KFMY, give me a DM with the N number and I will give you anything I may know about that plane.
