Problems wit AeroCruze 100 install (lack thereof)

Hey RTK, I have a Garmin 430W and I have it connected to a TruTrak 100, and 2 AV-30C's. When I go to CHNL1, my TruTrak works, but my AV30C's do not receive a signal. Then when I use CHNL2 with Aviation, NO ALT, my AV30C's work, but my TruTrak 100 does not receive a signal. I've tried multiple hookups, but no luck. Do you have any idea what I'm missing? The baud rates are 9600 on all instruments, and the correct pins are being used from the 430W. It appears that I need to splice the wiring together from the 430W and connect from the same CHNL. My friend has a Garmin 650 and his works just fine.
The AV-30 and Aerocruze should all use the Aviation format, so all should be connected to the same output on the 430W. Only the Avidyne IFD can output Aviation on more than 1 port at a time.

Bringing back an old thread. I've got TT connected to a pair of G5's and a GNC355 in a Cherokee 140. It has been pretty decent for my needs but I never get any trim up/down indications. Like ever. I find it hard to believe that I have this thing perfectly trimmed at all times (because I don't). I don't suppose there is a setting somewhere that enables this trim up/down indication? It sounds like this is a somewhat troublesome feature so I'm not upset about not seeing it but more curious why I would not see it if it is a standard feature. Anybody have any ideas?
 
the TruTrak usually gives trim indications WAY MORE than it is actually needed. If you never get it, it is either not wired correctly, or not installed correctly. I see how it could be possible for the installer to have gotten some lactate on the trim indicator slide when they installed the rod end, which could cause what you are seeing. I'm not sure what happens if the trim sensor wire harness is simply not plugged in, but I imagine it would work exactly as you are seeing (not giving an error indicating that it's not communicating). The trim indication is always enabled. I don't think there is a way to disable it short of disconnecting it. There is at least 1 wire to the pitch servo that the roll servo does not get that is for the trim indication. This wire could be disconnected or shorted.

Just finished the install of the AC 100 in my Mooney short body.
System works fine after a little hic-up in the pitch mode.
I, too, had questions on the trim annunciation but now will live with what it is
after seeing the write ups here.

Pitch mode when engaged first time went to full up or full down seemingly being in
reverse sensing. Went into setup screen and looked at that parameter and saw that in fact I has set
it correctly by the manual.
Decided to reverse the sense and all is well now. Haven't had time to see if I reversed
the two sub d plug wires but I did ring both harnesses 3 times before hookup. I doubt that was the problem.

Have it hooked to a Dynon HDX for RS232 input, Seems to work well. Follows magenta line well.
No IFR GPS needed or installed. Not interested in GPSS steering. Day VFR install only.

Need to look into why I can't get HDX mode on the AC 100 so the HDX drives the A/P. I have used another UNused
RS232 OUT from the HDX to the AC 100 as shown in the AC supplement for the Dynon but as yet no solution.
Only 2 check flights so far but looking good right now. Holds altitude good in turns also.
 
I have the AC100 installed in my Pa-32 6/300. It was installed in 8/24. I had to ship the head unit off to MC 2 weeks ago bc the ALT button became INOP. Got that fixed and now I am having an issue where on decent it is wanting to jerk the yoke down and not hold decent VS on CPLD approaches. The last approach I shot today I was 950 AGL and it went into a 1200 FPM down pitch. I was on GS and should have only needed 500 FPM. Anyone got any ideas?
