Correct. For a upgrade you need to pass the Computer color test stds.So, if I have a 3rd class, I can go for a 2nd or 1st without retesting. That’s different that what Dr. Bruce was saying, I think.
Per the flowchart, I’d have “passed any FAA approved color vision test” though, right? Or whatever test I was given to get the 3rd class. (I have no color vision issues/SODA, etc).Correct. For an upgrade you need to pass the Computer color test stds.
does that really surprise you doc, that the FAA changes things and does not tell the people that have to administer the change?
I had the same question regarding the flow chart. It does seem odd, and it is apparently not addressed anywhere else on the FAA site. Anybody have any clarifications? That seems like a flaw...
