Image hosting options

For many years I’ve been using Flickr to upload photos and then grab links from there to post images to forums. I’m using Safari on both Mac and iPad.

When I went to do that yesterday, I was informed I had hit a 1,000 upload limit, and would have to upgrade to Flickr Pro to continue, at about $5.50 a month billed annually. I tried deleting a bunch of photos from Flickr, but apparently that doesn’t affect my total upload count.

I wonder if there are other options. I have Google photos, but when I copy a link from there and paste it between “img” tags it doesn’t seem to work. I know on this site I can just copy from my Photos library and post here, as below. That doesn’t work on most of the other sites I frequent.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Do you have icloud? There's an option for a shareable folder.

@FastEddieB are the images you have on your google drive shared? they must be shared with 'anyone with the link'. then, grab the shareable link for pic and pull the image id and copy/paste it over the xxxxx's in the link below:

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=xxxxxxxxxx

then paste that link in between the img tags

Yes, I do. Never used it much.

Grabbed the link to a photo in iCloud, pasted it between “img” tags, and nothing

I too get that “New item by…”, not a properly inserted image.

Copy/paste is seamless here, but not on other sites.

Some yes, some no. If the site doesn't allow pasting an image, I usually just save the picture to my device and upload it from there.

A little convoluted, but seems to work!

Actually, not convoluted at all - about the same number of steps as needed in Flickr. I’ll just have to modify my workflow.

It doesn’t seem to provide a “resize” option, but in my first experiment above it seemed to size properly for the forum.
