General question for the masses: I submitted an ASRS report back in March of 2023. I'm not finding it in the SRS database, and curious as to why.

Sadly, I didn't keep the strip they mail you with the database number on it, so I can't search for it that way, but I do have the original submission download PDF, so have lots of search parameters I've tried to no avail.

It's not really an "I screwed up" type of situation, so I'm happy to share (attached here with my name/address redacted, though I'm not exactly maximally private, so I'm sure you could figure it out).

Anyway, this is more a curiosity question than anything. Doesn't actually affect my life in any way.

One weird thought. You put your N number in the narrative. That potentially breaks anonymity. I don't think that's a reason for exclusion but you never know.

I see other ASRS’s in the database where locations etc are redacted with XXXX; I assumed they would do the same for my tail number if needed. (And as it wasn’t my mistake, I didn’t really care about anonymity.)

Yes, but those are individual fields that are always blacked out. In the narrative, deletions would be manual.

I realize you didn’t care about anonymity, but it’s not about you.

I’m pretty sure in my search I saw “I was on final approach to land at XXXX” etc in the database and assumed that reaction was done by the database folks, but I suppose it could have been the original submitter.

You can always shoot them an email and inquire. Have done that in the past during some research projects.

Maybe the Gulfstream did one also and they figured yours was redundant ???

I emailed and asked them about it awhile back, and they said all submissions don't make it to the public data base.

I just checked all my submissions (~1/yr) going back to 2017 and none are in the DB.
