Excellent! I will write you a personal, post-date check, written on a napkin in crayon, drawn on the Nacional Banko a Mumbulu. When can I expect delivery?

Not a collector, but it's my favorite movie of all time. Maybe next time.
Perhaps you are fortunate to have missed-out. Those red moccasins are stolen property. The Munchkin Police and Oz Bureau of Investigation have been looking for them since 1939. (On the other hand, they have been "looking" since 1939 . . ..)

They actually were stolen a while back. The thief probably increased the value of them. The fence is going on trial after the shoes were recovered. The guy who stole them was so smart he thought they really had rubies on them. What a doof.

I thought there were a few pair made, and used in the movie.
I read that somewhere…

There is some junior civil servant who spends his entire "work" day running flags up and down a flagpole at the Capitol so that Members of Congress can give "genuine flags flown over the Capitol" to their supporters.

There is an artist's sketch of the culprit and her accomplices . . ..

Actually, there is a several person office that takes care of this. They fly something on the order of 100,000 flags each year, plus the Fallen Heros ones.

Best guess is there were 7 or 8 pairs made. One pair are called the 'Arabian' slippers as they had a curled up toe. These were not used in the film. The other 7/6 pair have had a circuitous life, being sold and re-sold and in some cases stolen along the way. 5 pair, including the Arabian set still known to exist. The owners of the other slippers must be ecstatic about the recent sale. Original estimates of value were $2-3M. This sale was almost 10x that and over 10x the est with the buyer premium to the auction house.

A long time ago I worked for a recording studio in CA. I also did prop delivery for WB and Universal. I recall vaguely that I had a chance to buy a pair from a sketchy guy I knew at WB. Authentication was always in doubt, and I passed on the price of $12k as I thought a real pair would be much higher. I may have passed up a gold mine, or I may have dodged a fake. One never knows.

My mom has one of those flags. It still has the fold creases in it from when it was brand new. Not the triangle fold, but the square fold.

I seriously doubt it flew all day as the letter of authentication leads to believe...
