Have been looking at aircraft for sale for a possible purchase next year, Piper Warrior/Archer, 172 and 150's. It appears overall Canadian planes are priced a little lower may be 20k or more. I know there are hoops to jump through and risks buying a foreign registered plane but why would they be lower? Is it the exchange rate, market, or something else I am not aware of?

I think owners who have opted to put their planes in the Canadian “Owner Maintence” program may have lower resale value. I don’t think they are considered airworthy by FAA either? Or by other international ICAO countries? So more paper, as well as more $ and parts to bring them US airworthy again, if ever.
