I passed my CFI checkride with Carl Lipke at Saint Paul Downtown, but I would not recommend flying with him.

I know Bill. He is a straight shooter. I never flew with him, but did my CFI training there, renting from his FBO, and have a lot of respect from witnessing his interactions with applicants and CFIs.

I can’t offer a high enough recommendation for Barb Mack. She puts you through your paces, but is very fair, super easy to work with, and a joy to fly with.

She was also recently inducted into the MN Aviation Hall of Fame.

I’ve done a few rides with her, and have no regrets. Hoping to get one more for my CFI!

I have my CFI checkride scheduled with Tim Newton next month. Haven’t had him before, and was wondering if you had a gouge on him for that ride? Haven’t been able to find one elsewhere.
