Snorting his way across the USA
1. Scientists discover mysterious pod located under the ice in the antarctica. Or maybe it's the arctica. It's one of the two. It is emitting some weird pulsating radio signal.
2. Dr. Kate is a scientist and believes it could be alien and dangerous and a research team is organized to study it.
3. Julian Assange... no, Julian Rome (James Spader) is an expert in cryptology and is put on the team. There is some history between him and Dr. Kate or it could have been another woman. But that's not important.
4. At the same time Assange is trying to decode the message, other members of the team study the object and decide to open it.
5. At the same exact time the object is about to be breached with a Harbor Freight Sawzall knockoff, Assange breaks the code. It says "Do not open." Gee, timing sucks.
6. Washington figures out the dilemma, and requests the help of the Russians to nuke the station with one of their nearby submarines. Captain Ramius toasts to Lenin for the savior of mankind, and George W. explains to the American people that a research team perished in a horrible accident.
7. I'm not exactly sure on all of the names exactly but it isn't that important.
8. They lost me at "do not open."
9. They really should have cast Jillian Anderson and David Duchovny but it was a relatively low budget film. I mean they couldn't even afford name brand tools.
10. It's worth a laugh. To dudes fight each other over a chick. How romantic.
