Anyone have a 2023 Honda pilot? Looking to buy a used one, specifically the Elite trim. Reviews look great. Test driving one in a few days. I own a 2019 Insight so I know how reliable Hondas can be. Any major flaws?

It’s not a ‘23, but we bought a ‘25 Pilot this summer. We’re currently six weeks into a coast-to-coast road trip and also drove it to Oshkosh - no problems at all. I am completely happy with it. Reliable, comfortable, good acceleration for an SUV, good handling, plenty of room inside, outstanding fit & finish, reasonable price. 100% recommend.

I feel like a pilot driving a Pilot is a little too on the nose.
Have you applied for the "P1L0T" vanity plate yet?
Does the Aviator Gin bottle fit in the cupholder?

Huh. When I read the thread title I was envisioning a guy in a white shirt with epaulets standing next to a small corporate jet.

My CFI drove an older maroon Honda Pilot, with a vanity plate similar to that. :D

@jordane93 , I think my parents bought a 2023 Pilot (could be a 2022, but pretty sure it's a 2023) and they have driven it pretty hard since then, even on multiple cross-country road trips, without issue. (IIRC, they've put over 20,000 miles on it since they bought it in April or May. It may have been February or March when they bought it, too, but they've put it through its paces and no issues so far.) Obviously sample size of one, but they've liked it and the few times I've been around to ride in it, it was comfy, quiet, and seemed like a pretty decent car.

I met a guy once wearing a baseball cap embroidered with "Honda Pilot". I probably could have guessed the answer, but I had to ask him which sense of the term was intended.

Hard to go wrong buying a Honda. Enjoy!

We had a 2016 Elite. Only complaint was that the infotainment system was a bit wonky at times. Had a weird static to any music medium occasionally that could only be rectified by completely shutting the vehicle down. Didn’t happen often, but frustrating when it did. Was a common complaint for that model year.

Yea I read in 2017 they changed the infotainment system for the better
