Where to find a drug monitoring program?

Have a failed drug test on my record and was told I needed to enroll in some sort of drug monitoring program where I am randomly drug tested over a period of time. I was hoping to have this done through the VA, but they don't offer such a program. Where should I be looking to get this done, or is it something I need to set up through my AME (at the cost of a few hundred a month, apparently).

Ouch. It's not simple. Nor straightforward. Nor cheap. Nor quick. Hopefully Dr. Bruce will be along to offer you more substantive direction. If & when he does, you should follow his advice.

Presuming its just one (i.e., "a" failed test), and this boils down to some 18 yo getting popped for smoking a joint... I can't even... I'm hurting for you.
 
Hire a HIMS AME. He becomes the MRO and testifies @FAA as to randomness and as to other tests use when you miss a test. Tools will be along shortly tell you it’s both a money scam and a science sham…..you should be all of ~$80 for a panel a money scam and science sham.

After all the HIMS AME will eventually have to write an evaluation of your recovery…..

Labcorp can do both a 10 panel to include alcohol for about $109. You can even set up an account with them. If you set up an account, all the results will be at your disposal at any given time. Your HIMS AME will need to randomly schedule them, but once you have this set up, you can pay online and go in that day to most local pharmacies to have it done. You can further authorize them to send the results directly to the HIMS AME. It's pretty simple and headache free.

ETG is good for 5 days.
You can do PETH.
You can get Soberlink with international plan.
If there is a will, there is a way...
 
And the soberlink monitor has to testify that’s your face. Are you smart enough to figure out why every week panel 10+alcohol doesn’t cut it?

If cost is no object you CAN do this. But don’t f-up…because remember the sobriety component has to be without break…

I say, whatever. Sobriety, is not the same thing as recovery. The last I took care of with your attitude was probably sober. But he couldn’t convince anyone he was in recovery….and as he didn’t understand pharmodynamics, his claim of sobriety was weak and FAA called him out on that.

Soberlink does have face recognition. It also has human breath detection. It is also 100% FDA approved. For example, if you try to use a compressor, it will detect it.
If one does not drink, how is it possible to f-up? If this is backed up with the three most commonly approved objective testing like ETG, PeTH, or Soberlink, how can someone deny the results?
Furthermore, if one has attended AA or Smart Recovery at least twice a week. If one has done in-patient and/or IOP with favorable results. Aftercare, continued aftercare, HIMS psychiatrist evals, COG screening, regular HIMS AME meetings, how could they possibly be doing something wrong by traveling.

BTW, I do have an unrestricted medical after going through this whole process.

One last comment, I also hold a SMART Recovery facilitator certificate. I volunteer to a saving lives task force locally. I also help teach recovery court once a month for locals struggling with addictive behaviors. It's not always safe to assume one does not understand this process because they simply stated several ways to validate their sobriety.
