Incident aircraft appears to be N6077X. Landed KBFL at 2039Z. Assuming course alteration was coincident with medical event, aircraft landed about an hour later.

Wasn't it a King Air some time ago with a similar story (I think there was a movie?) where the pilot died and the airplane was landed by his passenger?
He wasn't a pilot IIRC but had flight experience for a PPL in the past.

My take away from these is that if I'm going to ride in one, I want to read up on the POH first, and practice acting calm while being terrified.

Here’s an odd twist to the Bakersfield story. A U.S. Customs & Border Protection Air and Maritime Operations air crew in a Super King Air 350ER was requested by the FAA to intercept and “escort” the incident aircraft to Meadows Field.
