Seems like this scenario has happened often enough to be notable. Someone gets the plane safely down on a roadway to then be hit by a car after getting stopped.

Maybe if there's no risk of fire we should leave all lights on until emergency vehicles arrive?
 
The plane shoulda used its turn signal before taking the shoulder...
 
Same with a Ford powered Pietenpol… “doesn’t the radiator create a visibility problem?”

At those speeds, it ain’t what’s in front of ya that’s a problem, but what’s behind…
 
Could prolly add jaywalking to that on a really bad day…
