I still watch all his videos, but the "flying 'X'!" genre is getting a bit stale. I really enjoyed the electric ultralights he was building, but he seems to have lost interest in that. The diesel trawler is pretty cool, but we haven't seen that for a while either.

The lawnmower didn't excite me much, but I do appreciate making ridiculous things fly because you can. It's not like he's just doing a bunch of those in a row - I have probably been subscribed for about 4 years based on a quick look at his video library and what I remember, and it looks like he's done scattered "Flying 'X'" videos since the beginning of his channel 8 years ago, but never focused solely on it for any length of time.

As did I, but I have a feeling he may have scared himself at some point with his creation... Or maybe just decided it wasn't practical enough to continue to iterate. One thing I appreciate about him is his willingness to invest a lot of time and effort into something that may not work, fail and learn.

It's been about 7 months since the last video... But before that one it was 5 months, and before that 3 months. And when I went looking for that, I noticed that in the first video about it, he was talking about the reason for buying it to be building it into a flying boat or ekranoplan, so maybe that's why it's taking so long!
