Lone Rock, Wisconsin (KLNR) Fly-in/Camp-in August 23-25

Been up to Lone Rock many times for breakfast on the field! This looks like fun!

The airport authority has been very easy to deal with. Main camping, and campfire location, will be on the grassy strip between the tie downs and the first row of hangars. And we have secondary and tertiary parking/camping locations depending on turnout.

I've been there! Photoshoot with Mtns2Skies @Mtns2Skies Beautiful country!

I might be interested in coming up there to do some photoshoots if I wouldn't get in the way!

You are absolutely welcome to plan that. Yes, the Wisconsin River and driftless zone in Wisconsin are super beautiful.

For those unfamiliar, this is the river he was shooting over:

@rwellner98 Do you have a schedule in mind yet? I probably can't camp the whole weekend but I might be able to pop in here and there.

Sure thing. We're camping, socializing and figuring out dinner options for Friday night. Since it's a first time event, we're waiting until we get closer to see what our numbers look like and finalize what we'll be doing. This is going to be a less formal night.

Saturday is the main day. Breakfast will be available from Sam's starting at 8. Then Johnson brothers tour and open house at 10. I'll do my cooking seminar at 12. Dinner saturday will, again, be decided as we get closer and know what the numbers look like.

Sunday is departure day. Sam's will again be available for breakfast.

If I wasn’t already committed to something else I’d be there
