Do Oil Filters Have A Shelve Life

I have two unused filters that came with the plane I bought and was wondering if there is a shelve life to them. They are Tempest filters, and I can not see any kind of a date or a lot number on the boxes.

I ask as the air filter that came with it did have a date, and I had to toss that.

Al long as it has no rust, and is still sealed it should be good.

They should be fine if worried check with your mechanic

Yes, this was pointed out to me recently. What the expiration date is? is unknown. lol
I gave 3 of them away to a local mechanic recently since I am using a challenger oil filter now.
Didn't want them rotting away. Mine were 3+ years old.

Unless the seals are abnormally hard, I would use them.
