learn to fly at 15 working at the airport. Earned all my ratings working at the airport. We are still learning almost 50 years later. Enjoy flying low and slow and looking out the windscreen. Enjoy History, Reading ( 4 books a month, the library likes me), art, music, writing and just watching all the Ospreys,Eagles, Hawks, and other soaring birds do their thing.
Wrote and published first book "John, The Airport Kid" working on sequal. I will compile scrap book stories into book form finally beginning in early 2009.
A year later I am finally finishing up my sequal. The sequl is in the very final stages. Have been busy as a co host on a local radio station (WCTR) on a community show called the "senior Class". It is my 7th career and lots of fun.
I still get a chill of Lets Go Flying when I drive by an airport.
