    recommenations for handheld radio

I have an Icon A20. I had a belly whip installed and run to a coax connector on the bottom edge of the panel. I had a connection cable that I kept in a side pocket. I also had a headset adapter. It worked and the range was OK, as I remember.

What's your go-to Concealed Carry weapon?

As to the original question, it has varied. When I first got a permit, the small gun I had was a PPK/s, so I carried that for awhile. Now, it's either a S&W K-frame or a 1911, both in AIWB holsters. Sometimes, a Colt Detective Special in a deep AIWB holster. I have a S&W 442, which is good...

    Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

After the Hurricane of 1938 hit, an old fisherman, let’s call him Jack Jones, was walking down by the piers. Another fisherman saw him, hurried over and said: “Jack, they told me you was dead!” Jack said: “Really?” The other fisherman said: “Yep. They told me they have your body at the...

Want to buy a plane. What's your take?

I know of a decent Cessna 210 that's for sale. But my thought: Figure what you can afford and then step down a couple of notches.

    You're dead.

I am having a hard time understanding why having Holocaust materials would be embarrassing. (Except if your parents are either Nazis or Holocaust-denying conspiracy types.)

How crazy is buying a 60 year old 172...

I’d like to know that anything added (replacement of the Narco Superhomer, addition of a transponder) was done somewhat legally. Sounds to me like an airplane that’ll be on Corrosion Row, sooner or later.

How crazy is buying a 60 year old 172...

“Barely any logs” likely means every AD will need to be redone. If the shutdown ends soon, get the airframe records CD so you’ll know what 337s have been filed and what damage has been reported. An airworthy 172 for $8k? I’d recommend running away like brave Sir Robin.

For Sale: Aircraft Stinson 108-2 For Sale at KFAM

Thank you. I wonder if I scared people away by underpricing it. $19.5k for a flying 4-place airplane might have seemed too good to be true.

Right now, it's out of annual. I'm going to have it done next month. So if someone wants to snake it up on a deal, this might be the time.

    Want cheap flying

Yes, but a full set runs over an AMU, they last about 3 years, and if you are often putting them on in a bit of a wind, you will come to hate them.
