    Insurance

Years ago I tried to get hull insurance on a seaplane Avemco at that time said they buy 1 in 5 seaplanes they insure, not sure their loss rate is any better now. Anybody try to get hull insurance on a Lake LA4-200 or a Cessna 185 on amphib floats.

What percent of people with older aircraft or homebuilt/experimental or of value less than $25K have no liability insurance, hull insurance is another issue. Some airports require insurance for all those who keep their plane their and have no idea of others that fly in to get gas or other...

Rules for thee not for me, relates to the arrogant attitude of certain people that rules are meant for the rest of the world but not for them, because they consider themselves above the law – in other words, they abuse their wealth .

    Wrecked more than one plane

How many people know pilots that have wrecked or been involved in a accident that the plane is totaled (this means that the aircraft costs more to fix than it is worth). Not sure how they do that and buy another and wreck it too, does not seem to matter how many you wreck if you have a good...

    Engine overhaul on a stand

Engine overhaul on a automotive engine stand horizontal or crankshaft stand vertical. I had never seen it done on a automotive stand before and ask if anyone else does it that way and why.

    CSEL Checkride Debrief

Their are good DPE and great DPE you don't get to that level unless you are good, and it's a long road to get their. The last thing any DPE wants is any CFI not wanting to use them for any reason, they walk a fine line as they need CFI's as much as they need them.
